INVITATION TO THE COOPERATION

On the 30-th of September, 2006 the Belarusian Republic Foundation «Mutual understanding and reconciliation» has completed the compensatory payments to the victims of National Socialism and their law competent assignees from the funds of the German Foundation «Remembrance, Responsibility and Future».

In connection with the completion of the specified financial payments, following the wishes of the International Union of the former minor prisoners of fascism and the republican public associations of victims of Nazism of Belarus, the foundation realizes the programs of the social assistance, first of all, the projects of the social medical orientation in the interests of victims of National Socialism. This is the main purpose of the foundation‛s activity stipulated by the Charter at the present time.

The foundation works in close cooperation with the republican hospitals of war invalids, the Main hospital of the Ministry of Defence of Belarus, other Belarusian institutions, and also with the German public associations and institutions such as the German Foundation "Remembrance, Responsibility and Future", the Evangelic church in Gessen and Nassau, pharmaceutical firm «Mеrк KGaA» (Darmstadt, Germany), the Association on contacts in the countries of the former Soviet Union, the German charitable organization Maximilian-Kolbe-Werk (Freiburg, Germany) etc.

The basis of the specified activity is that the foundation has the certain medical base: there are three drugstores, an ophthalmologist’s office, a repair shop on manufacturing and repairing the glasses and a massage office at the foundation. The Belarusian foundation has licenses and practical experience in the realization of medical activity in the field of the wholesale and retail sales of the medical apparatus and the products of the medical purpose.

The projects on supplying the victims of National Socialism with medicines, glasses, medical devices and other subjects of medical purpose, and on providing the complex medical diagnostics and treatment are being realized at the present time.

However, it is not possible to provide all the groups of victims of Nazism with necessary medicines and devices of medical purpose and realize the perspective projects of social medical orientation because of the insufficiency of the financial assets.

Knowing that German citizens are always ready to help those who are in need, we address with the invitation to cooperation to legal and physical persons of Germany and to all people of the good will of other countries, wishing to make a feasible contribution into rendering assistance to the people suffered from National Socialist persecutions and other people who require the help: people who suffered from the failure on the Chernobyl atomic power station, incurable patients (in general children) etc.

The foundation provides the target use of the arrived financial assets and beneficent goods  according to the sponsors‛ wishes. All the terms will be executed, if they do not appear burdensome for the foundation.

The participation in the foundations‛ projects will serve not only to the interests of the image of the participants, but also to the further development of the mutual understanding between people, and the development of cooperation.

Numerous projects of social-medical orientation that have already been realized by the foundation are the good base for the development and realization of new projects and for the fruitful cooperation in the given area. We are open both for the cooperation, and for the control of the realization of fulfilled projects on the site of the foreign organizations that participate in them.

The reliability and transparency of the activity of the foundation is provided by the means of the annual auditor control of its activity by the international auditor companies. The participants of the project (suppliers of the humanitarian cargoes) have the opportunity to control the realization of the projects at all stages: granting reports, examination of financial and other documents and the opportunity of direct participation of the representatives in the realization of the project.

Analyzing everything that was made by the foundation during the period of its existence, its relations with different international organizations, its popularity and authority on the international scene, we can say that the Belarusian foundation «Mutual understanding and reconciliation» became something like a bridge between the East and the West. It is also the bridge, which promotes the development of mutual understanding and cooperation between different nations and strengthens the trust and good relationships.

The extremely high estimation of the activity of the foundation was given by the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Republic of Belarus Mr. Dr. Martin Hecker on October, 13, 2006 in the interview of the film studio «Handwriting».

He has noted that during thirteen years the foundation fulfils exemplarily the mission the value of which value cannot be overestimated for the true and long-term reconciliation between the people of Belarus and Germany”; the Belarusian foundation in comparison with the partner organizations of other states has finished the procedure of payments quickly and at the same time with the high accuracy and professionalism. He said that the Belarusian foundation has made the invaluable contribution into the achievement of mutual understanding and reconciliation between Germans and Belarusian. This is today the base of the friendship between the citizens of both countries.

Taking into account the above mentioned information we consider that our foundation is a reliable partner in the realization of the projects aimed at providing the social-medical and other assistance to the citizens who need it.
