Organizers of the project:

- The Belarusian Republic Foundation «Mutual understanding and reconciliation»;

- Federal Foundation «Remembrance, Responsibility and Future» (Germany).

The sum of 354 836 565, 55 euros, equivalent to 694 million DM is stipulated from the Law on the Creation of the Foundation «Remembrance, Responsibility and Future» for the entitlement payments by the Belarusian Republic Foundation «Mutual understanding and reconciliation» and the compensation of administration costs to the people suffered from National Socialist persecutions during the Second World War. The deadline of giving the application on indemnification is December, 31, 2001.

The compensatory payments for slavish and forced labour to the victims of National Socialist have been started since August, 8, 2001.

According to the law compensatory payments are being made in two stages: at the first stage - 65 % of the due sum; at the second one- 35 % of the rest of the sum.

In total the compensatory payments from the funds of the German Foundation «Remembrance, Responsibility and Future» are paid to 129 519 citizens. Now the payments are completed.
