Germany’s holding midfielder Sami Khedira will miss their Euro 2016 semi-final against hosts France on Thursday after he sustained an adductor muscle injury in their quarter-final win over Italy, coach Joachim Loew said on Monday.
Khedira, who have played in every lucifer of the tourney so far, represent taken off former in that plot after pulling during a challenge for the lump.
“Sami Khedira won’t play for us on Thursday. We will do everything for him to be available for a potential final,” Loew told reporters.
Germany are already without suspended Mats Hummels and injured striker Mario Gomez, out for the rest of the tournament after also being injured against Italy.
